What a Mercedes costs to rent in Los Angeles

A day is the minimum and there is no maximum. Longer stays are quoted as the cheapest combination of the day, five-day and twenty-one-day figures on the cars that carry those blocks, without anyone having to ask; a few flagships hold a flat daily rate at any length, and the quote says which. What sits beside the rate: refundable holds from $500 to $2,000, by car, taken at pickup and released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price, and the Protection plan at $75 to $225 a day, by car unless your own full-coverage policy extends to the car.

Which Mercedes for which day

Nine models, and the rate spread is about eighteen to one, so the badge tells you nothing — the job does. A working week wants the compact saloon or the small SUVs at the bottom of the range: five seats, valet-friendly on Melrose, the three-pointed star on the key. Luggage or a client wants the mid-size SUV, quiet on the freeway with four cases behind the second row; the electric saloon does the same day in silence. Arriving wants one of the two square 4×4s — the white one for the shape, the black one with the hand-built V8 for the sound. The van is the wedding party: nine behind the driver, luggage behind them.

What you need to rent a Mercedes

A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years; between 21 and 25 a young-driver fee of $50 a day on most of them and $175 a day on the exotics applies, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the hold — refundable holds from $500 to $2,000, by car on the Mercedes cars here — which is an authorisation, not a charge, released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price.

Cover for the car's replacement value: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan at $75 to $225 a day, by car, arranged with the booking. Visitors present a passport beside their home licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. Additional drivers are welcome, named on the agreement and present at handover. Where the age floor or the cover is the obstacle, the same car goes out with a driver instead.

Delivery, collection, and a driver

Every Mercedes here comes to you hand-detailed. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection at our Robertson Boulevard office is always free. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address — a house, a venue, another airport — is priced by distance and confirmed before you commit. We arrive within fifteen minutes of the hour you name, or the delivery fee comes off the invoice.

Keys or a driver: a chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $502 for a four-hour evening in the least expensive Mercedes here, $2,400 in the dearest.
