What is the difference between the Huracán Evo and the Spider?
The roof. The Evo is the coupé; the Evo Spider and the Huracán Spider drop the roof for the coast road. Same V10 behind your shoulders, same noise — one of them just lets the rest of Los Angeles hear it properly.
Should I take the Urus or the Huracán?
The Urus if there are people, luggage or a whole day of driving involved: it is a genuine SUV that happens to be a Lamborghini. The Huracán if the drive itself is the point. The Urus is also the easier of the two to live with on a Los Angeles freeway.
Is a Lamborghini cheaper per day if I keep it for a weekend?
No, and it is worth saying so plainly rather than letting you find out at the quote. The price is the cheapest way to build your dates out of one-day, five-day and twenty-one-day blocks, and a block is only taken when it costs less than the days it covers. No Lamborghini we hold has a five-day block that beats five days at the day rate, so a weekend, three days and five days all bill at the daily figure. The first length that can come down is a month, and only where the car carries a month block. Send the dates rather than a number of days and the quote works out which is cheaper for you.
Can I actually choose the colour?
Yes, and without the hedge, because there is no category here to be allocated out of. Each of these six cars is one car in one colour and the booking is of that car. Two of them are yellow — the Huracán Evo in Giallo at $1,799 a day, and the Urus in Giallo at $999 a day — so reserving the yellow Huracán Evo holds that yellow car for those dates, not a Huracán in whatever paint is free that morning. The other four are the Urus in green and in black, the Huracán Evo Spider in green, and the Huracán Spider in matte black. Each is one of one, which is why a particular weekend is worth naming early rather than late.
Which Lamborghini should I book for photographs?
Yellow is the colour that gets booked for shoots, and there are two of them: the Huracán Evo, which is the lower and more dramatic car, and the Urus, which carries people and equipment as well as the badge. Both go out hand-detailed. How old do you have to be to rent a Lamborghini in Los Angeles?
Twenty-one, with a licence in your own name held for two years. Drivers under twenty-five are not turned away from these cars; a young-driver fee applies per day between twenty-one and twenty-five, and on all six Lamborghinis it is the higher of the two we charge, because all six sit in the top deposit band.
