Exotic & Luxury Car Rental for Santa Barbara

Luxury rental cars for Santa Barbara start in Los Angeles. We hand the car over here — our lot, a Beverly Hills partner hotel, LAX or your address — and the coast road north does the rest. Roofs down for the drive, room in the back for two nights away.

The road is the reason

Santa Barbara is close enough to Los Angeles that the drive is a pleasure rather than a chore, which is precisely why it is worth doing in something good. A convertible — an Audi S5, a BMW 430i or a Rolls-Royce Dawn — turns the coast road north into the reason for the trip rather than the price of it.

Two nights and luggage change the answer. A luxury SUV such as a Range Rover Sport or a Bentley Bentayga swallows the cases and stays quiet the whole way, and a luxury sedan does the same on less fuel.

Collected in Los Angeles

The keys change hands here. Our Robertson Boulevard lot, a Beverly Hills partner hotel, LAX, or a Los Angeles address of your choosing — complimentary to the partner hotels and quoted with the car anywhere else — and we collect it from you when you are back. There is no desk to find at either end of the weekend.

Mileage is the one thing worth raising early on a trip like this. Every rental carries a daily allowance: the sedans and SUVs carry the most generous band on the site and the exotics carry less. Say how far you intend to go and the allowance is set in the quote, alongside the car, the days and any driver.

Planning a weekend up the coast

Open-top cars go first in summer and on long weekends, so name the dates early if you want a particular car rather than the one still free. If the trip runs past a couple of nights, say so — the rate improves with the length of the booking and the mileage allowance can be arranged around it. See the full Nizo fleet, browse by brand, or ask about a driver if nobody wants to take the wheel.

Santa Barbara Rental Questions

Where do I collect a car for Santa Barbara?

In Los Angeles. Nizo is a Los Angeles fleet — there is no counter of ours up the coast — so the handover happens here and the 101 is yours from there. Collect at our Robertson Boulevard lot, at one of our Beverly Hills partner hotels, at LAX if you are flying in, or have the car brought to a Los Angeles address: complimentary to the partner hotels, quoted with the car anywhere else. We collect it from you at trip end, so neither end of the journey involves a rental desk.

Is the mileage allowance enough for Santa Barbara and back?

On a sedan or an SUV, comfortably — that band is the most generous on the site and the run up and back sits inside it. The exotics carry less, which is worth knowing before you pick one for a coast trip rather than a canyon morning. Whatever the car, the figure is named in the quote before you book rather than mentioned at handover, anything beyond it is settled per mile at a rate written into the agreement, and a longer booking can carry a different allowance. Tell us the plan and we will match the car to it.

Which cars suit the run up the coast?

The 101 rewards two things: an open roof and a quiet cabin. For the first, an Audi S5 or BMW 430i convertible, a Porsche Boxster, a Corvette Convertible, or a Rolls-Royce Dawn if the trip is the occasion. For the second — a couple of nights, luggage, and somebody who would rather arrive unruffled — a Range Rover Sport, a Range Rover Velar, a Bentley Bentayga or a BMW 7 Series. The shortlist below is generated from the fleet rather than written by hand, so it is what we actually hold.

Can I book luxury rental cars for a few days rather than one?

Yes, and multi-day is how most of these run. The rate is worked out as the cheapest combination of the car's daily, five-day and twenty-one-day figures, so two or three nights up the coast cost less per day than a string of single days and nobody has to ask for a discount. Give us the dates and we hold the car across them, self-drive or with a driver.
