01Roof down, the deck behind the rear seats is almost as long as the bonnet in front of them. Nothing about the proportions is an accident.

Matte paint removes every reflection from the bodywork, so instead of a moving mirror you get shape — the long bonnet, the fall of the flank, the way the deck runs flat to the tail.

Underneath the surface it is the ordinary miracle: a roof that folds away in about twenty seconds, doors that close themselves, and enough space behind the front seats that the back is not a gesture. Red hides against white paint is the loudest thing about it, and it is inside.

Yes. A chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $2,600 for a four-hour evening in this car. No security deposit is taken on a chauffeured booking. How many miles are included, and can I take the Rolls-Royce Dawn out of California?
Every car carries its own daily mileage allowance, and yours arrives in writing with the booking confirmation, together with the per-mile rate for anything over it. The car may leave the state — Las Vegas, Arizona, up the coast — as long as you tell us the plan in advance and keep the allowance in mind; it comes home to Los Angeles, since there is no one-way drop in another city.
