Where the car is
Two ways to get the keys, and neither is the airport
Most people asking about a sports car from Downtown are really asking one thing: do I have to drive out to LAX for this. You do not, and the airport is not the cheap end of the arrangement either.
Collect it from us. The showroom is at 2022 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90034, west of Downtown on the Westside, and collection there is free. It is one of only four points on the map where a handover costs nothing; the other three are our partner hotels in Beverly Hills — the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons on Doheny and L’Ermitage.
Or do not collect it at all. Give us a Downtown address — a hotel, an office, a loft in the Arts District — and the car arrives there hand-detailed at the hour you name and is collected from the same address when you are done. That is a delivery: quoted with the car and shown in the total before anything is paid, and it removes the collection trip from both ends rather than one.
LAX is the third option, and it is priced rather than quoted, in two tiers and per direction. $75 each way leaves the car in the airport parking structure for you to collect off the free shuttle; $150 each way brings it to your terminal. Pick-up and return are separate choices in the booking form, so you pay only for the ends you use. If you are flying in after all, the LAX page covers that half properly.

Both are quoted by the day rather than by any block, both carry the exotic terms rather than the ordinary ones — a higher deposit, a higher per-day cover band and a steeper young-driver supplement, all of which step up together off the deposit — and both stay inside California. The one thing Downtown itself decides
Where the car sleeps, if it sleeps here. A full-size SUV will not clear the six-foot-eight sign posted at the mouth of a good many older parking structures downtown — which is a reason to take something low rather than a reason to take nothing, and one of the few ways this district differs from the rest of the city on a booking. Nothing on the list above troubles it.
Why the drive and not the errand
Downtown is a walking grid and the car is not for the block you are standing on. What it is for starts outside it: Mulholland and the canyons behind it, the coast road out to Malibu, and the Angeles Crest, which climbs out of La Cañada and keeps climbing for fifty miles.
Which is why most of these go out for a weekend rather than a week — three days, which is what the totals above are priced for. If the trip is really about moving four people and their luggage across the county, a luxury SUV does that and this shape does not.

The floor is twenty-one with two years of licence history, and drivers between 21 and 25 pay a young-driver fee of $50 a day on most of the fleet and $175 a day on the exotics and ultra-luxury cars, which carry the higher deposits. Can I collect the car Downtown and hand it back somewhere else?
Yes. Pick-up and return are separate choices in the booking form, so you can take the car in the city and give it up at the terminal on the way out, or the other way round. The LAX tiers are priced per direction, so you pay only for the ends you use: a Downtown delivery in, followed by a hand-back at our Robertson Boulevard lot, costs the Downtown delivery and nothing further, because collection at the lot is free.
What does a weekend in a sports car actually come to?
The day rate, taken the number of times the days come to. The first block price on this site is the five-day one and the quote reaches for it only from five days up, so there is no weekend rate to ask for and none being quietly withheld — the three-day totals printed beside each car above are simply what three days is. On top of them sit mandatory damage-and-liability cover, priced per day off the car's security deposit; Los Angeles County sales tax; a delivery line if you are not collecting from us; and a young-driver supplement if the driver is under 25. The minimum rental is twenty-four hours, and every one of those figures is in the quote before anything is paid.
How old do I have to be to rent a sports car here?
Twenty-one, with a valid licence carrying at least two years of driving history.
