Two ways to get the keys, and neither is the airport
Most people asking about a sports car from Downtown are really asking one thing: do I have to drive out to LAX for this. You do not, and the airport is not the cheap end of the arrangement either.
Collect it from us. The office is at 2022 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90034, west of Downtown on the Westside, and collection there is free. It is one of only five points on the map where a handover costs nothing; the other four are our partner hotels in Beverly Hills — the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne.
Or do not collect it at all. Give us a Downtown address — a hotel, an office, a loft in the Arts District — and the car arrives there hand-detailed at the hour you name and is collected from the same address when you are done. That is a delivery: quoted with the car and shown in the total before anything is paid, and it removes the collection trip from both ends rather than one.
LAX is the third option, and it is priced rather than quoted, in two tiers: $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure for you to collect off the free shuttle, or $300 both ways with it brought to your terminal. Pick-up and return are separate choices in the booking form, each with its own tier, so you pay only for the ends you use — half of either figure for a single direction. The one thing Downtown itself decides
Where the car sleeps, if it sleeps here. A full-size SUV will not clear the six-foot-eight sign posted at the mouth of a good many older parking structures downtown, so the low cars suit this district — one of the few ways it differs from the rest of the city on a booking. Nothing on the list above troubles it.
Where the car takes you
From Downtown the car takes you out of the grid: Mulholland and the canyons behind it, the coast road out to Malibu, and the Angeles Crest, which climbs out of La Cañada and keeps climbing for fifty miles.
Every extra day is another of those roads; the totals above are priced for three. For four people and their luggage across the county, a luxury SUV is the car.

The floor is twenty-one with two years of licence history, and drivers between 21 and 25 pay a young-driver fee of $50 a day on most of the fleet and $175 a day on the exotics and ultra-luxury cars, which carry the higher deposits. Same-day happens more often than people expect and is always worth a call; a Saturday in July, in a particular colour, wants a few days.

What you need
To rent in Downtown Los Angeles
- 21 or over as standard. Drivers from 18 are considered case by case, on their own full-coverage insurance and a larger deposit, confirmed in writing before the day; under 25 there is a young-driver fee per day. How the age rule works.
- A licence held for at least two years, in the driver’s own name, presented at the handover. A foreign licence with a passport is fine; no International Driving Permit is asked for. Renting on a foreign licence.
- A credit card in the renter’s name for the refundable security deposit — $350 to $2,000, set by the car — held rather than charged, and released 5–7 business days after a clean return (about two weeks if there is minor damage to price; up to a month for anything serious). The deposit, explained.
- The Protection plan, $50 to $225 a day by the car’s deposit band, is part of every rental unless your own policy passes the four tests; it sits in the quote before you pay. Your policy or ours.

Can I collect the car Downtown and hand it back somewhere else?
Yes, inside greater Los Angeles. Pick-up and return are separate choices in the booking form, so you can take the car in the city and give it up at the terminal on the way out, or the other way round, each leg priced on its own. The LAX tiers are priced per direction, so you pay only for the ends you use: a Downtown delivery in, followed by a hand-back at our Robertson Boulevard lot, costs the Downtown delivery and nothing further, because collection at the lot is free. What there is not is a one-way between cities — no drop in Las Vegas, San Diego or San Francisco; the car comes home to Los Angeles.
What does a weekend in a sports car actually come to?
The day rate, taken the number of times the days come to. The first block price on this site is the five-day one and the quote reaches for it from five days up; the three-day totals printed beside each car above are what three days is.
On top of them sit the Protection plan, priced per day off the car's security deposit unless your own policy qualifies; Los Angeles County sales tax; a delivery line if you are not collecting from us; and a young-driver supplement if the driver is under 25. The minimum rental is twenty-four hours, and every one of those figures is in the quote before anything is paid.
