Half of what people search about these cars has nothing to do with renting one. What a hypercar is and whether the word means anything; why a Porsche engine is flat; what DSC does when the light flashes on Mulholland after rain; what Lamborghini’s bulls are called and why; how many Rolls-Royce lines there are and which of them a person can actually sit in this week. These are the articles for that half, and they are here because the person who reads about the most expensive Ferrari ever sold is, quite often, the person who books a 488 the following month.

The hub is arranged by marque so that each marque’s page — Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, and the rest under marques — has its ring of neighbours: the names, the lineup, the record book. The vocabulary and the engineering come first because they are what every other article leans on.
