The 7 Series is the BMW you book for the rear cabin: enormous, quiet at freeway speed, and comfortable enough that a crawl from Beverly Hills to LAX stops being an ordeal. From the driver's seat it is a very long car that shrinks convincingly, and it turns into a hotel forecourt in one movement rather than three.

This one is the 745e — the plug-in hybrid, a straight-six with an electric motor beside it — which is why it leaves a kerb in silence and why it is the quietest car in the fleet at a walking pace. Charged overnight it does the school run and the restaurant on the battery; on the freeway the six takes over and it is simply a 7 Series.

Silver is the traditional finish for a German flagship and it does something specific on a car this long: a light metallic breaks the flank up with reflection rather than letting it read as one enormous dark slab. It looks formal without looking funereal, which is the line a chauffeur-grade saloon has to walk. Two 7s are in the fleet — this one and a black — and the dates on each page are the car's own.

How much does it cost to rent a silver BMW 7 Series in Los Angeles?
The silver 7 Series is $159 a day. The day rate is the whole of it on this car — there is no weekly or monthly block, so a longer booking is priced day by day. Delivery to our Beverly Hills partner hotels is complimentary; LAX delivery is charged each way, in two tiers, and the figures are on our delivery page.
Do I need to charge it?
No. It is a plug-in hybrid: charged, it runs the first miles on the battery in silence; uncharged, it is a straight-six 7 Series and drives exactly like one. A charger at the hotel is a bonus, not a requirement.
Can I book it with a driver?

How does it differ from the black 7 Series?
This is the silver car and the hybrid; the black one is on its own page with its own dates. Both are the long-wheelbase saloon with the rear cabin that is the reason to book either.

Damage and liability cover

Mandatory, and priced off the deposit rather than the rate. Your own qualifying full-coverage policy takes this line out of the quote entirely.

$50 a day
Twenty-one is the floor, with a licence held two years. The higher band applies above a $1,500 deposit; this car is below it.

No maximum. Delivery is complimentary at our Robertson Boulevard lot and our four Beverly Hills partner hotels; LAX is $75 to the parking structure or $150 to the terminal, each way.

This one is the same rate at every length — it carries no multi-day block, so three days is three times one day. We would rather say that than imply a discount that is not there.
