White Mercedes GLC Coupé Rental Los Angeles

Almost every GLC in Los Angeles is black on black. This one is not, and that is the entire reason to book it.

The GLC Coupé is the mid-size Mercedes with the roof pulled down at the back — five seats, a sloping tail and, in this car, red hide from the front seats to the rear bench. White outside, red inside, and nothing about it apologising.

01The roof falls from above the front seats to the tail in one line. On white it shows; on black nobody sees it.

The coupé roof costs a little boot height and buys a profile that reads instantly as the more expensive choice. On a white car the line is easier to see than on a black one, which is the argument for this colour before you even open a door.

Then you open it. Red across the seats, the doors and the stitching, against a fascia of brushed metal and a screen that sits proud of it. For a hundred and forty-eight dollars a day that is a lot of theatre.
