Grey BMW 760i xDrive from a front three-quarter on a palm-lined Beverly Hills street

Lit Grille Quiet V8

BMW 760i xDrive

The newest 7 Series with the V8 on top: 536 hp, all-wheel drive and a cabin made of screens, glass and light.

Nothing else on the road has this face. That is the point of choosing it.

The 760i xDrive is the V8 at the top of the current 7 Series: a 4.4-litre twin-turbo with a mild-hybrid boost, 536 hp, all-wheel drive and about four seconds to 60. This one is a dark metallic grey over black leather, photographed on a Beverly Hills street.

Grey BMW 760i in profile on a residential street
01In profile under the palms: the long bonnet, the flat flank and the multi-spoke wheels.

The face is what people talk about: a tall kidney grille outlined in light, slim daytime lamps above the main headlamps, and a long flat bonnet. In grey every edge of it reads, and at night the lit grille does the rest.

Inside, one curved display runs from behind the wheel to the middle of the dash, a strip of lit crystal-effect trim crosses the cabin from door to door, and the doors have their own touch panels. The seats are black leather quilted in a diamond pattern, front and back.

On the road it is a big, quiet saloon that happens to be very fast. The V8 is barely audible at a cruise and the ride is soft over the worst of the 10; the back seat has the legroom for a long afternoon of meetings.

Book it by the day: the deposit is held on the card rather than charged, and the car arrives hand-detailed at your hotel, your home or LAX.

More about the Grey BMW 760i

The 760i or the S 580?

Both are V8 saloons with all-wheel drive and five seats. The S 580 is the classic choice, softer and more traditional inside; the 760i is the newer design, with the lit grille, the curved screen and the light across the cabin. The black BMW 7 Series is the six-cylinder car at a lower rate.

How much does it cost to rent a BMW 760i in Los Angeles?

The terms, before you commit

Refundable deposit
$5,000
A hold, not a charge, and released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price.
Protection plan
$225 a day
Priced off the deposit rather than the rate. Your own qualifying full-coverage policy takes this line out of the quote entirely.
Driver, 21–24
$175 a day
Twenty-one is the floor, with a licence held two years. The higher band applies at or above a $1,500 deposit; this car is in it.
Shortest booking
24 hours
No maximum. Delivery is complimentary at our Robertson Boulevard lot and our four Beverly Hills partner hotels; LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction.

This one is the same rate at every length — it carries no multi-day block, so three days is three times one day.

Renting the BMW 760i: the short answers

Can I book the BMW 760i with a driver?
Yes. A chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $1,100 for a four-hour evening in this car. No security deposit is taken on a chauffeured booking. The same car can be driven to the event and yours with the keys the morning after; the chauffeur service page has the runs and the hours.
What do I need to rent the BMW 760i, and can international guests book?
A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years — between 21 and 24 a young-driver fee of $175 a day applies on this car, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the refundable hold, and cover for the car: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan arranged with the booking. International guests rent on a passport and a home-country licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. The hold is released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price. If the age floor or the cover is the thing in the way, the same car goes out with a driver instead — that booking asks neither of you.
How far ahead should I book the BMW 760i, and can I change the dates?
There is no notice period: the calendar on this page shows the days it is free, and once a booking is paid a car that is free can be on its way to you in about an hour — same day included. Moving the dates is free, as often as you need, outside the last day before the start; a change inside it keeps one day's rate. What comes back if you cancel is set out in our terms and conditions.
Can the BMW 760i be delivered to my hotel, my home or LAX?
Yes. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection from our Robertson Boulevard office costs nothing. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address is priced by distance from the office, $75 one way inside 10 miles, and itemised on the quote before you pay.
How many miles are included, and can I take the BMW 760i out of California?
Every car carries its own daily mileage allowance, and yours arrives in writing with the booking confirmation, together with the per-mile rate for anything over it. The car may leave the state — Las Vegas, Arizona, up the coast — as long as you tell us the plan in advance and keep the allowance in mind; it comes home to Los Angeles, since there is no one-way drop in another city.
What does a weekend in the BMW 760i cost, and can I rent it by the hour?
$1,400 for two days and $2,100 for three, before the Protection plan, tax and any delivery — there is no separate weekend rate, and one day is the minimum on a Saturday too. The day is the shortest self-drive booking; by the hour, the car goes out with a driver, from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum.
