Matte black Maybach GLS 600 from a front three-quarter on a palm-lined Los Angeles street at dusk

Satin Black Bright Chrome

Maybach GLS 600

The biggest Mercedes, rebuilt by Maybach around two reclining seats, in a black that does not shine and chrome that does.

Matte paint takes the reflections off the body, so the only thing that catches the light is the chrome.

A Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 is the largest SUV Mercedes builds, taken apart by Maybach: the third row comes out, two reclining seats go in its place, the grille grows vertical chrome slats and running boards fold out of the sills when a door opens. This one is satin matte black over a black leather cabin, on polished multi-spoke Maybach wheels.

Matte black Maybach GLS 600 in profile, showing its full length and chrome running boards
01Full length, and it is long. Matte black from bumper to bumper, with the chrome running along the window line, the roof rails and the folding board below the doors.

The back is the reason for the car. Two individual seats recline with a console between them that runs the length of the cabin, a tablet lives in that console to run the climate, the lights and the music, and the Maybach cushions on the headrests are there because somebody is expected to sleep on the way back from the airport.

Up front it is the familiar Mercedes layout done properly: two wide screens under one glass, a wheel rimmed in gloss black, ambient light along the doors and the dash, and a glass roof over both rows. The twin-turbo V8 with EQ Boost does its work without raising its voice, which is the point of a car built to be quiet.

The Maybach GLS 600 with a driver

This is the car built to be driven in, and it books that way too: the day of meetings where the back seat is the office between Century City and Downtown, and the one night a year when the entrance is part of the evening. With a driver it is two lines on one quote: the driver from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, and the GLS 600 at the $899 it carries on this page. An evening block of four hours comes to $1,299, driver and car together; a business day of 8 hours is $1,699.

The driver waits inside the block — through the dinner, between the meetings — and the waiting and the fuel are in the hourly line rather than found on the bill afterwards. The car on the quote is this one, named, and it is the same Maybach you can take the keys to on this page.

Queries

Where can I rent a Maybach GLS 600 in Los Angeles?
Nizo Luxury rents the Maybach GLS 600 in Los Angeles — +1 (424) 303-6496. It is $899 a day; we bring it to your hotel or your home, or you collect it at no charge from our office on Robertson Boulevard.
How much does it cost to rent the matte black Maybach GLS 600 in Los Angeles?
The matte black Maybach GLS 600 is $899 a day. The day rate is the whole of it on this car — there is no weekly or monthly block, so a longer booking is priced day by day. Delivery to our Beverly Hills partner hotels is complimentary.
How many people does it seat?
Four, and four in comfort: two seats in front and two individual reclining seats behind, with a console between them where a normal GLS has a bench and a third row.
Is it a good car to be driven in?
It is the car designed around the back seat. Take the keys yourself, or book it with a driver for the evening that should be driven — the airport run, the premiere, the dinner where the arrival matters.
Can I see the dates before I call?
Yes — the diary on this page is the live fleet calendar. If a date is open there, it is open.

Refundable deposit
$2,000
A hold, not a charge, and released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price.
Protection plan
$225 a day
Priced off the deposit rather than the rate. Your own qualifying full-coverage policy takes this line out of the quote entirely.
Driver, 21–24
$175 a day
Twenty-one is the floor, with a licence held two years. The higher band applies at or above a $1,500 deposit; this car is in it.
Shortest booking
24 hours
No maximum. Delivery is complimentary at our Robertson Boulevard lot and our four Beverly Hills partner hotels; LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction.

This one is the same rate at every length — it carries no multi-day block, so three days is three times one day.

Renting the Maybach GLS 600: the short answers

Can I book the Maybach GLS 600 with a driver?
Yes. A chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $1,299 for a four-hour evening in this car. No security deposit is taken on a chauffeured booking. The same car can be driven to the event and yours with the keys the morning after; the chauffeur service page has the runs and the hours.
What do I need to rent the Maybach GLS 600, and can international guests book?
A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years — between 21 and 24 a young-driver fee of $175 a day applies on this car, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the refundable hold, and cover for the car: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan arranged with the booking. International guests rent on a passport and a home-country licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. The hold is released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price. If the age floor or the cover is the thing in the way, the same car goes out with a driver instead — that booking asks neither of you.
How far ahead should I book the Maybach GLS 600, and can I change the dates?
There is no notice period: the calendar on this page shows the days it is free, and once a booking is paid a car that is free can be on its way to you in about an hour — same day included. Moving the dates is free, as often as you need, outside the last day before the start; a change inside it keeps one day's rate. What comes back if you cancel is set out in our terms and conditions.
Can the Maybach GLS 600 be delivered to my hotel, my home or LAX?
Yes. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection from our Robertson Boulevard office costs nothing. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address is priced by distance from the office, $75 one way inside 10 miles, and itemised on the quote before you pay.
How many miles are included, and can I take the Maybach GLS 600 out of California?
Every car carries its own daily mileage allowance, and yours arrives in writing with the booking confirmation, together with the per-mile rate for anything over it. The car may leave the state — Las Vegas, Arizona, up the coast — as long as you tell us the plan in advance and keep the allowance in mind; it comes home to Los Angeles, since there is no one-way drop in another city.
What does a weekend in the Maybach GLS 600 cost, and can I rent it by the hour?
$1,798 for two days and $2,697 for three, before the Protection plan, tax and any delivery — there is no separate weekend rate, and one day is the minimum on a Saturday too. The day is the shortest self-drive booking; by the hour, the car goes out with a driver, from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum.
