Renting a Volkswagen in Los Angeles

Volkswagen, here, runs from $102 a day, against a $350 refundable deposit.

Volkswagen is the sensible end of the fleet — the cars that make a week of the city easy. Here it is the Tiguan, the compact five-seater that parks anywhere in this city and takes a week's luggage; the Atlas, the largest thing Volkswagen builds for America, seven seats with a third row drawn for adults; and the Atlas Cross Sport, the same car for five, the third row traded for a sloping roof and an enormous boot. Each card above carries the live rate, and the calendar where the car has one; each model page has the pricing by length and the car in each colour we keep.

A Volkswagen rental in Los Angeles is delivered or collected: hand-detailed, to your address or hotel anywhere in the city at a fee set by the distance, complimentary to our Beverly Hills partner hotels and free to collect from Robertson; LAX delivery is priced per direction on the LAX page. Twenty-four hours is the minimum, and the quote takes whichever combination of day, week and month blocks costs least across your dates, with the refundable deposit, cover and tax shown before you pay.

What a Volkswagen costs to rent in Los Angeles

The ladder runs from $102 to $114 a day, and every rung is a card above with its live rate: Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport at $102, Volkswagen Tiguan at $102 and Volkswagen Atlas at $114.

A day is the minimum and there is no maximum. Longer stays are quoted as the cheapest combination of the day, five-day and twenty-one-day figures on the cars that carry those blocks, without anyone having to ask; a few flagships hold a flat daily rate at any length, and the quote says which. What sits beside the rate: a refundable $350 hold, taken at pickup and released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price, and the Protection plan at $50 a day unless your own full-coverage policy extends to the car.

Which Volkswagen for which day

Tiguan — the compact five-seater: it parks anywhere in this city and its boot takes a week's luggage. Best for the week of errands, the airport and the quiet freeway hour.

Atlas Cross Sport — five seats, the third row traded for a sloping roof and an enormous boot. Best for two to five people with more luggage than a compact carries.

Atlas — seven seats, a third row adults reach without folding themselves and a square boot behind it. Best for the family, and one of the most-booked cars in summer.

What you need to rent a Volkswagen

A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years; between 21 and 25 a young-driver fee of $50 a day applies, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the hold — a refundable $350 hold on the Volkswagen cars here — which is an authorisation, not a charge, released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price.

Cover for the car's replacement value: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan at $50 a day, arranged with the booking. Visitors present a passport beside their home licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. Additional drivers are welcome, named on the agreement and present at handover. Where the age floor or the cover is the obstacle, the same car goes out with a driver instead.

Delivery, collection, and a driver

Every Volkswagen here comes to you hand-detailed. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection at our Robertson Boulevard office is always free. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address — a house, a venue, another airport — is priced by distance and confirmed before you commit. We arrive within fifteen minutes of the hour you name, or the delivery fee comes off the invoice.

Keys or a driver: a chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $502 for a four-hour evening in the least expensive Volkswagen here, $514 in the dearest. The same car can be driven to the event and yours with the keys the morning after; see chauffeur service in Los Angeles for the runs and the hours.

Volkswagen Rental Questions

Who rents a Volkswagen in Los Angeles?

Nizo Luxury does — +1 (424) 303-6496. A Volkswagen here is from $102 a day; we bring it to your hotel or your home, or you collect it at no charge from our office on Robertson Boulevard.

How much does it cost to rent a Volkswagen in Los Angeles?

From $102 a day for the least expensive model to $114 for the dearest — the cards above carry the live rate of each. Every Volkswagen here carries a five- or twenty-one-day block, and the quote applies whichever is cheaper for your dates without being asked.

What deposit does a Volkswagen rental take?

A refundable $350 hold, taken at pickup as an authorisation on the primary renter's credit card and released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price. The hold sets the Protection plan: $50 a day, unless your own full-coverage policy extends to the car's replacement value.

Can I rent a Volkswagen at 21?

Yes — 21 is the minimum, with a licence held at least two years. Drivers from 21 to 24 pay a young-driver fee of $50 a day. Under 21 is considered case by case on your own full-coverage policy and a larger hold.

Do you deliver a Volkswagen to LAX or to my hotel?

Both. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne and collection at our Robertson Boulevard office is always free. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address is priced by distance from the office — $75 one way inside 10 miles — and confirmed before you commit.

Can I book a Volkswagen with a driver?

Yes. A chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $502 for a four-hour evening in the least expensive Volkswagen here, $514 in the dearest. The same car can be driven one day and yours with the keys the next.

Can I take a Volkswagen up the Pacific Coast Highway, or out of California?

Yes to both. The coast road is the drive most guests take first, and every car may leave the state — Las Vegas, Arizona, up the coast — as long as you tell us the plan in advance and keep the daily mileage allowance in mind, which is set per car and arrives in writing with the booking confirmation. The car comes home to Los Angeles: there is no one-way drop in another city.

How do I rent a Volkswagen — what happens first?

Pick the car and the dates on its page, where the calendar is live, and pay the rental, the Protection plan and the sales tax online; the refundable hold is taken at handover on a credit card in your name. You need to be 21 or over with a licence held two years. The car is delivered to you or collected from our Robertson Boulevard office, and a person here confirms every booking.

Has anyone rented a Volkswagen from you — how are you rated?

5.0 from 67 reviews on our Google Business Profile, which is the place to read them rather than take our word for it.

Do you rent the Volkswagen Touareg or the ID. Buzz?

The Atlas is the largest Volkswagen here, with the Atlas Cross Sport and the Tiguan beside it.
