White BMW 3 Series from a front three-quarter

Still the Standard

White BMW 3 Series

Fifty years of every rival being measured against this exact car, for a hundred and two dollars a day.

Every review of every saloon for fifty years has ended by comparing it to this one.

The 3 Series is the car the rest of the class is described against — rear-driven, evenly balanced, and sized so it still fits a Los Angeles street. In white, which is what most of them are, because the shape has never needed help.

01Long bonnet, cabin set back, short overhangs. BMW has drawn this proportion since 1975 and has never had a reason to stop.

What makes it the benchmark is not any single number. It is that the steering weights up the way you expect, the car settles where you put it, and nothing about driving it needs learning. Fifty years of iteration buys exactly that.

And the price here is the story. A hundred and two dollars a day for the car most people spend a week deciding to buy is the cheapest way to find out whether they were right.

Fifty years of rivals measured against it.
Still the answer.

Queries

Where can I rent a BMW 3 Series in Los Angeles?
Nizo Luxury rents the BMW 3 Series in Los Angeles — +1 (424) 303-6496. It is $102 a day; we bring it to your hotel or your home, or you collect it at no charge from our office on Robertson Boulevard.
Is BMW 3 Series car hire available in Los Angeles?
It is, by the day or by the week. The 3 Series is the one to hire when the week is meetings and freeway rather than canyon roads — quick enough to enjoy, ordinary enough to park anywhere without thinking about it.
How much does it cost to rent a BMW 3 Series in Los Angeles?
The white 3 Series is $102 a day. Five days is priced as a block rather than as five separate days, and twenty-one as another; the quote takes whichever combination is cheaper for your dates, and neither has to be asked for. Delivery to our Beverly Hills partner hotels is complimentary.
Why book this over a bigger car?
Because it drives better than anything else at this money and parks anywhere. If you want presence, take the 7; if you want to enjoy the canyon on the way back, take this.
Can I see the dates before I call?
Yes — the diary on this page is the live fleet calendar. If a date is open there, it is open.

Renting the BMW 3 Series: the short answers

Can I book the BMW 3 Series with a driver?
Yes. A chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $502 for a four-hour evening in this car. No security deposit is taken on a chauffeured booking. The same car can be driven to the event and yours with the keys the morning after; the chauffeur service page has the runs and the hours.
What do I need to rent the BMW 3 Series, and can international guests book?
A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years — between 21 and 24 a young-driver fee of $50 a day applies on this car, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the refundable hold, and cover for the car: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan arranged with the booking. International guests rent on a passport and a home-country licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. The hold is released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price. If the age floor or the cover is the thing in the way, the same car goes out with a driver instead — that booking asks neither of you.
How far ahead should I book the BMW 3 Series, and can I change the dates?
There is no notice period: the calendar on this page shows the days it is free, and once a booking is paid a car that is free can be on its way to you in about an hour — same day included. Moving the dates is free, as often as you need, outside the last day before the start; a change inside it keeps one day's rate. What comes back if you cancel is set out in our terms and conditions.
Can the BMW 3 Series be delivered to my hotel, my home or LAX?
Yes. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection from our Robertson Boulevard office costs nothing. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address is priced by distance from the office, $75 one way inside 10 miles, and itemised on the quote before you pay.
How many miles are included, and can I take the BMW 3 Series out of California?
Every car carries its own daily mileage allowance, and yours arrives in writing with the booking confirmation, together with the per-mile rate for anything over it. The car may leave the state — Las Vegas, Arizona, up the coast — as long as you tell us the plan in advance and keep the allowance in mind; it comes home to Los Angeles, since there is no one-way drop in another city.
What does a weekend in the BMW 3 Series cost, and can I rent it by the hour?
$204 for two days and $306 for three, before the Protection plan, tax and any delivery — there is no separate weekend rate, and one day is the minimum on a Saturday too. The day is the shortest self-drive booking; by the hour, the car goes out with a driver, from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum.
