Blue Mercedes-AMG GT 53 4-Door from a front three-quarter on a palm-lined Beverly Hills street

Yellow Calipers

Mercedes-AMG GT 53

The four-door AMG GT with the straight-six turned up to 429 hp, a fixed wing on the tail and four real seats under the fastback.

Same shape as the GT 43, a different temper underneath — and the yellow calipers are how you tell them apart from the kerb.

The GT 53 is the four-door AMG GT with the volume raised. A turbocharged straight-six with an electric booster makes 429 hp, all-wheel drive puts it down, and 60 mph comes up in about four and a half seconds. This one is gloss blue over black forged wheels and yellow calipers, with a fixed wing and yellow belts inside.

01The fixed wing, the quad tailpipes and the hatch underneath them. From behind it is the most obviously AMG thing in the fleet.

The electric booster is the part you feel first. It fills the moment before the turbo arrives, so the car pulls the instant you ask rather than a beat later, and the nine-speed gearbox keeps it in the meat of the power on Mulholland. In traffic it does the opposite: quiet, smooth, a big comfortable GT.

Inside it is set up for four. Two sport seats in front, two shaped individual seats behind, a carbon-trimmed console and a hatch for the bags. It is the AMG you can take to dinner with friends and still enjoy on the drive home.

Same shape as the GT 43.
A different temper underneath.

Queries

Where can I rent a Mercedes AMG GT53 in Los Angeles?
Nizo Luxury rents the Mercedes AMG GT53 in Los Angeles — +1 (424) 303-6496. It is $229 a day; we bring it to your hotel or your home, or you collect it at no charge from our office on Robertson Boulevard.
How much does it cost to rent a Mercedes-AMG GT 53 in Los Angeles?
The GT 53 is $229 a day. Five days is priced as a block rather than as five separate days, and twenty-one as another; the quote takes whichever combination is cheaper for your dates, and neither has to be asked for. Delivery to our Beverly Hills partner hotels is complimentary.
How is it different from the GT 43?
The GT 53 makes 429 hp to the GT 43's 362, reaches 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds and carries the yellow calipers, forged wheels and fixed wing. The shape, the four doors and the hatch are the same — so is the day rate.
How fast is it?
About 4.4 seconds to 60 mph and an electronically limited 174 mph, with all-wheel drive. On a Los Angeles street what you notice is how instantly it answers the pedal.
Can I see the dates before I call?
Yes — the diary on this page is the live fleet calendar. If a date is open there, it is open.

Renting the Mercedes AMG GT53: the short answers

Can I book the Mercedes AMG GT53 with a driver?
Yes. A chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $629 for a four-hour evening in this car. No security deposit is taken on a chauffeured booking. The same car can be driven to the event and yours with the keys the morning after; the chauffeur service page has the runs and the hours.
What do I need to rent the Mercedes AMG GT53, and can international guests book?
A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years — between 21 and 24 a young-driver fee of $50 a day applies on this car, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the refundable hold, and cover for the car: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan arranged with the booking. International guests rent on a passport and a home-country licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. The hold is released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price. If the age floor or the cover is the thing in the way, the same car goes out with a driver instead — that booking asks neither of you.
How far ahead should I book the Mercedes AMG GT53, and can I change the dates?
There is no notice period: the calendar on this page shows the days it is free, and once a booking is paid a car that is free can be on its way to you in about an hour — same day included. Moving the dates is free, as often as you need, outside the last day before the start; a change inside it keeps one day's rate. What comes back if you cancel is set out in our terms and conditions.
Can the Mercedes AMG GT53 be delivered to my hotel, my home or LAX?
Yes. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection from our Robertson Boulevard office costs nothing. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address is priced by distance from the office, $75 one way inside 10 miles, and itemised on the quote before you pay.
How many miles are included, and can I take the Mercedes AMG GT53 out of California?
Every car carries its own daily mileage allowance, and yours arrives in writing with the booking confirmation, together with the per-mile rate for anything over it. The car may leave the state — Las Vegas, Arizona, up the coast — as long as you tell us the plan in advance and keep the allowance in mind; it comes home to Los Angeles, since there is no one-way drop in another city.
What does a weekend in the Mercedes AMG GT53 cost, and can I rent it by the hour?
$458 for two days and $687 for three, before the Protection plan, tax and any delivery — there is no separate weekend rate, and one day is the minimum on a Saturday too. The day is the shortest self-drive booking; by the hour, the car goes out with a driver, from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum.
