The Porsches here split cleanly by what is behind you. Two mid-engined two-seaters: the roadster with its roof in the boot for Mulholland at seven in the morning, the coupé with the sharpest steering in this fleet and two boots that beat the rear-engined car. And the rear-engined car itself, as a coupé or with the roof folding away behind a brushed silver hoop — the supercar you can drive to dinner.

What you need to rent a Porsche
A driver of 21 or over with a licence held at least two years; between 21 and 25 a young-driver fee of $50 a day on most of them and $175 a day on the exotics applies, and under 21 is considered case by case. A major credit card in the primary renter's name for the hold — refundable holds from $750 to $2,000, by car on the Porsche cars here — which is an authorisation, not a charge, released 5–7 business days after a clean return, longer only if there is damage to price.
Cover for the car's replacement value: your own full-coverage policy if it extends to a rental, or our Protection plan at $100 to $225 a day, by car, arranged with the booking. Visitors present a passport beside their home licence; no International Driving Permit is needed. Additional drivers are welcome, named on the agreement and present at handover. Where the age floor or the cover is the obstacle, the same car goes out with a driver instead.
Delivery, collection, and a driver
Every Porsche here comes to you hand-detailed. Delivery is complimentary to the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons at Doheny, L’Ermitage and the Maybourne, and collection at our Robertson Boulevard office is always free. LAX is $150 both ways with the car in the airport parking structure or $300 both ways to the terminal, half that for one direction. Any other address — a house, a venue, another airport — is priced by distance and confirmed before you commit. We arrive within fifteen minutes of the hour you name, or the delivery fee comes off the invoice.
Keys or a driver: a chauffeur is from $100 an hour on a two-hour minimum, added to the car at its day rate — $686 for a four-hour evening in the least expensive Porsche here, $1,149 in the dearest. Which Porsche suits a canyon drive?

Angeles Crest, Mulholland, Latigo and Stunt Road are narrow, blind and cambered against you in places, and what matters there is width and where the mass sits rather than power: the Boxster is mid-engined and slim enough to place accurately on a road with no run-off, which is the opposite of what a wide SUV asks of you at the same speed.

Every car goes out with a full tank of 91-octane premium and comes back full; returned short, the charge is what the fuel actually costs at the nearest premium station plus a $20 service charge for the trip. The mileage allowance is set per car and stated with the confirmation.
How much is a Porsche for a weekend in Los Angeles?

The car comes home to Los Angeles: there is no one-way drop in another city.
